Executive Director’s Message

Welcome to the Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA) website!  We hope that you will use this website to learn more about the programs and properties that we operate in Pinellas County, about the goods and services that we seek from community businesses, and as a way to communicate with us.

PCHA serves approximately 8,500 Pinellas County residents on a daily basis as tenants residing in the properties we own and operate, and through the rental subsidies we pay for families living in the private rental market.  We are very proud of our long history of accomplishment in serving Pinellas County residents as well as of the partnerships we have developed and maintained to provide the best quality services to our clients.

It is the commitment of every PCHA employee to provide the highest quality service to the residents of our communities and the customers we serve.  We also believe in providing avenues of opportunity for resident self-sufficiency by aggressively pursuing partnerships with public and/or private entities to allow for the implementation of programs beneficial to them.

Take a moment and browse our website for more information about PCHA, our Board of Commissioners and the programs and services that we provide.  Please do not hesitate to contact us for additional information or if there is something that you cannot find.

It is a tremendous honor and a privilege to serve as the executive director of such a dynamic organization.  Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving you!

Neil Brickfield
Executive Director

What We Do

Pinellas County Housing Authority has been helping local families meet their housing needs since 1965. Established under Chapter 421, Florida Statutes, the Pinellas County Housing Authority is an independent special district of the State of Florida. Originally created “to address a shortage of safe dwelling accommodations in Pinellas County available to persons of low income at rentals they can afford,” the Authority continues to focus its efforts on creating, providing and increasing affordable housing opportunities to Pinellas County residents. Whether through its leasing, management and maintenance of PCHA’s owned portfolio of housing, or through the administration of various rental subsidy programs, or the coordination of first time homebuyer and household budgeting services to homeowners and prospective owners, the Pinellas County Housing Authority remains committed to its mission.
