Special “Honor Flight” Presentation at Magnolia Gardens Open to the Public

Magnolia Gardens, an assisted living residence for seniors age 60 and older, is hosting a special “Honor Flight” presentation on Wednesday, November 30th at 3:00 pm.   Founded in 2010, “Honor Flight” recognizes and rewards war-era Veterans with an all-expenses-paid flight to the memorials in Washington, D.C that are dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.

Mr. Mark Welsh, of Honor Flight West Central Florida, will be the guest speaker on this exciting topic.  Mark has been a volunteer with Honor Flight since April 2012.  He has flown on 14 Missions: four as a Guardian, and 10 as a Bus Captain.   He has been a member of the Speakers Bureau since 2013, and is a member of the Honor Flight West Central Florida Board of Directors. Mark is also on the Board of Directors for Enterprise High School in Clearwater Florida, volunteers with USO Central Florida, and has been a Guardian ad Litem with the 6th Circuit Court of Florida since 2007.

The public is invited to attend this special presentation to learn how to assist with the Honor Flights and/or how to apply for an Honor Flight on behalf of a veteran.

Magnolia Gardens is located at 3800 62nd Avenue North in Pinellas Park, Florida.  For more information please call (727) 489-6447.
